2015 Coaches Symposium
Father Vince Smith led the coaches in an opening prayer then challenged us as coaches to live our faith in a way that our players can see and emulate. He then challenged all the coaches to be the role models that our young people deserve. His final message was that we as coaches have a great responsibility to be stewards of our sports. Coaches need to teach sportsmanship, not gamesmanship. He then handed it off to our keynote speaker.
The keynote speaker was 9 time State Championship winning coach Brian Robinson. Among many topics, he touched on his journey as a coach, examples of good and bad sportsmanship, how to handle tough situations as a coach, and good clerical practices that help teams and programs function at a high level.
